Green Chimneys restores possibilities and creates futures for children with emotional, social, behavioral, and learning challenges, including runaway and homeless youth, with specific programming for LGBTQ youth. Green Chimneys strives to make a young person's journey to adulthood a little more secure and successful through safe shelter and through the love and support that every young person needs.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) has been instrumental in helping us establish a National Homeless Youth Awareness Month and in providing expertise in youth homelessness. NAEH is a non-partisan, mission-driven organization working collaboratively with the public, private, and non-profit sectors to build capacity, leading to stronger programs and policies that help communities end homelessness.
A young person who needs a place to stay - for any reason - can find a home at the Sasha Bruce House. The staff at Bruce House also provides counseling and classes that can lead young people in need back to a more stable and supportive family situation, or on a path to true independence and self-sufficiency. DC's only short-term shelter for young people, the Bruce House is open 24 hours a day, serving roughly 200 youth, ages 11-17, each year.
Virgin Unite, the Virgin Group's charitable arm, is key to The RE*Generation. They work to coordinate the efforts of Virgin Group companies and our non-profit partners, multiplying our impact across the globe. That means the other Virgin companies-from Virgin America to Virgin Airlines-and their customers are also engaged in growing The RE*Generation.
“AMAZING!!! I wanted an android phone and Virgin
Mobile gave it to me at a lower price with a lower
monthly bill than I could have gotten anywhere else.”
