VM: So, first question, what ringtone(s) do you have set up on your cell phones?

VM: Tell us a little about the new album, Doll Domination. Musically, how is it different from the last album?
Nicole -  With a title like Doll Domination, we've definitely upped our game on this next round musically.  We're coming back stronger than ever and musically more advanced.  That means more attitude, more swagger, and an even wider range of vocals and musical styles.  We've got stuff for our old PCD fans and Pussycat Dolls out there, and we've got stuff hopefully for new PCD fans that people probably wouldn't expect from us.
Mel - I like to say we have graduated to a next level musically. We worked with so many people we worked with the last album and made some new friends this album like R kelly, Rodney Jerkins and many more.

VM: How have your live performances evolved since you first began performing together?
Nicole - The synergy between the five of us is definitely stronger than ever.  Our singing and dancing on stage is done with such confidence, it's as if we're fearless and nothing can touch us.  And at the same time we keep it fun and relatable where don't take ourselves too seriously.  
Ash - We're been together for so long that we've basically grown up together. We can just look at each other and know what's supposed to happen. We feed off each other's energy
Mel - Well my performance level has evolved tremendously since the beginning my time with the Pussycat Dolls mostly because I have only learned to dance when I joined the group.

VM: What other artists are you listening to at the moment?
Nicole -  Billie Holiday, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Kanye West, and N.E.R.D.
Ash - Adel, Neyo, Paramore, and Lil" Wayne
Mel - Always Mariah Carey, Lil" Wayne, and I keep my iPod on shuffle so it varies

VM: Were you excited to work with top-tier producers like Timbaland, Cee-Lo, Sean Garrett, and Rodney Jerkins? How have they helped you take your music to the next level?
Nicole - Of course.  But more importantly, the process was what was so exciting to be able to connect and create music with those producers.  Every producer and every song brings something completely different out of me as an artist. Working with producers of that caliber forces you to work at your greatest potential.

VM: We know The Pussycat Dolls as a talented group of singers and performers, but what are the individual qualities that give the band its unique flavor?
Ash - How we incorporate the best singing and the best dancing. We have girls who have trained in all areas of entertainment. We bring it together and make a powerhouse team.
Mel - The diversity amongst the girls. There are so many different flavors to choose from like Baskin Robbins. Only there are 5 of us, not 31. 

VM: What is your favorite place you've traveled to so far, and why?
Nicole - Some of my favorite places we've traveled to are the South of France and Ibiza because it's undeniably exotic and beautiful.  Everywhere we go there is something unique and special whether it's the culture and the beauty of the place or the people and the fans. 
Ash - we recently traveled to Ibiza. We got to take a boat together and swim in the clear blue ocean and hang out a the beautiful villas that overlook the islands
Mel - Egypt. It was amazing. Everyone thought I was Egyptian.

VM: What artists would you most like to collaborate with that you haven't worked with yet?
Nicole -  Prince, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Pink, Daft Punk, M.I.A.
Ash - Kanye West or Pharell. Beyonce is the ultimate PCD and she would be amazing. Also Katie Perry.
Mel - Johnny Hathaway, Sam Cook, Pharell.

VM: How do you balance your hectic work and travel schedules with your personal lives?
Nicole - What personal life? ;)
Ash - I try to mediate as much as possible, and when you can get sleep get all the sleep you can. And the best way to communicate with families and friends is the almighty bberry.

VM: How do you all stay in such great shape while touring? Are there any fitness/beauty tips you would give to your fans?
Nicole - I love to jog.  It's not only a great way to get my mind focused, it's a creative outlet for me to listen to music and get inspired.  Also, have you seen our show?  The high energy show itself keeps us in shape.
Ash - I make sure to drink a lot of water. Exercise combining cardio and weight training and balanced meals.
Nicole - Yes, drink lots of water and try to do some type of activity three times a week that gets your heart rate up.  For me, that's jogging while listening to PCD.

VM: Any advice you can give to young women out there who are looking to break into the recording industry?
Nicole - Yes, always keep every window and door of opportunity open.  You never know where they might lead to.  Believe in yourself, stay true to who you are, follow your heart and go after what you see.
Ash - Don't ever give up and constantly remind yourself of your worth. 
Mel - Maintain your enternity and don't take shortcuts in life. Take the long way so you get there safe and sound. 

"5 Fit Tips" from Nicole:  

• One-leg lunges and double leg squats with weights to keep the buns nice and tight
• Do ab work on an exercise ball.  It keeps the core strong.
• When there's not much time to workout, do slow and fast jogging intervals for 10-20 minutes.
• Don't forget free weights to keep the arms looking tone and lean.
• Laugh a lot, it's good for the abs.
