How do I change the volume of the ringtone/headset/keypad?
Here's how...
Ringtone volume: select Menu -> Settings -> Sounds -> Ringtone Volume.
Headset volume: select Menu -> Settings -> Sounds -> Earpiece Volume.
Keypad volume: select Menu -> Settings -> Sounds -> Key Volume.
Adjust the volume within these menus by using the arrow keys.
How do I send a text message?
Select Menu -> Messaging -> Send text msg. Select a phone number or email address from one of your contacts, or enter a new address in the Send To field. Then, type in your message and hit Send.

There are six text entry modes: Case Change, Numbers, Normal, Rapid Entry, Add Symbol, Add Smiley. To switch between entering numbers, letters and symbols, press and hold the left Shift key until the icon for the text entry mode you want appears at the top of the screen. Or, select Options and then choose whichever entry mode best fits what you want to type.
How do I download ringtones, graphics, etc?
You can do it from the VirginXL menu on your phone (Menu -> VirginXL) or here on our Web site.
How do I check my balance?
You can instantly check your balance by pressing and holding the up navigation key on your keypad. Or, select Menu -> My Account. You can also check your balance at anytime by logging into My Virgin Mobile.
How do I charge my phone?
Your phone came with a charger when you bought it. Just plug the charger jack into the phone and plug it into a wall outlet.
A battery icon in the upper right of the screen will light up to indicate that charging is in progress.
