4G and LTE relate to speed and strength of connection of wireless devices. Sprint currently deploys two 4G systems in the U.S.: the Mobile WiMAX standard, and the first-release Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard. In the U.S., Sprint was the first major wireless carrier with 4G, deploying Mobile WiMAX networks in 2008 and introducing its all-new 4G LTE network in July 2012. Sprint now offers LTE 4G service in 110 markets with additional markets being launched regularly. To check for coverage in your area, go here.
When in a Sprint 4G LTE coverage area, Sprint's LTE 4G service allows customers with these next-generation devices to power blazing fast data speeds so you can email, browse, surf, download, stream and share files faster than standard connections.
Dual Core means you have two processors working on your tasks instead of only one. 1.2 GHz is the speed of the processors. Think of it as having an extra factory in your phone. More factories means more goods get produced in the same amount of time. You'll experience smoother multitasking along with faster downloads and data transfers than you would with a single-core processor.
The large battery keeps you powered up all day without having to stop to recharge. With up to 16 hours of talk time, it can also fuel an amazing user experience-meaning you can enjoy all the fabulous features of your LG Optimus F3 longer.
In a few words - crisper, clearer, more vivid colors!
IPS (In-Plane Switching) provides clear undistorted color accuracy where even the most delicate pastel colors can be projected perfectly as is. The large 4.0" display gives you lots of screen space to view, read, surf and play.
IPS provides much of the brains behind the beauty of the screen. With IPS, you can enjoy better viewing angles and more uniform color reproduction than with other display technologies.
Highly damage-resistant, lightweight, and visually dazzling, Corning® Gorilla® Glass 2 is 15% stronger and 20% thinner than previous versions. It also provides exceptional screen clarity and toughness without sacrificing touch sensitivity.
This is new for Virgin Mobile and the LG Optimus F3™ . A UICC Card (which is also sometimes called a SIM card) has been pre-installed in the LG Optimus F3™ for you. Its sole purpose in life is to connect the phone to the 4G LTE network. The UICC card in the LG Optimus F3 does not store contact information, or music, or downloads. It doesn't store any data of any kind. Important information like that is stored in the internal memory of the phone.
Do not remove UICC Card from the phone! If you do, the phone will not work. If you lose the UICC card, you will have to call us to ask for a replacement because it's hard to find a retailer that will carry the model you need, and your phone won't work until we can get one sent to you.
Our best advice to you is leave it in the phone so it can do its job!
Yes, but you do not need to take the UICC card out of the phone to find it's ID (which is called an ICC ID). We've made it simple for you!
You will be asked to enter the phone's MEID (DEC) and then verify the ICC ID during the first few steps of the activation process on virginmobileusa.com. Both codes (MEID-DEC & ICC ID) are found on the packaging on the label at the bottom of the phone package and also on the sticker on the back of the device.
TalkBack is an Accessibility Service that helps blind and vision-impaired users interact with their devices more easily. Before the activation process can begin, the device will prompt the TalkBack voice navigation feature. It is strongly recommended that you do NOT turn on this feature unless you are visually impaired. To bypass this feature, tap Next.
Note: When Talkback is turned on, the touchscreen settings require the user to first tap an item they wish to select, and then double tap the item again in order to access the feature.
To disable TalkBack follow these steps:
1. From the Home Screen select the Menu Key.
2. Select System Settings.
3. Place two fingers on the screen to activate scrolling and move your fingers in an upward direction to scroll.
4. Select Accessibility.
5. Select the Talkback option under Services.
6. Select the On/Off Toggle switch.

Android™ is your phone’s operating system (OS). Whenever you make a call or send a text or launch an app, Android™ is behind how it looks and how it works.
Android™ is currently the world’s most popular mobile OS. Why? Because it’s totally sweet. It’s intuitive. It’s powerful. And it supports over 500,000 unique apps that anyone with an Android™ phone can download directly from Google Play™.
Google Play™ is the Android™ store and it’s available online at http://play.google.com. Your Android™ phone will include a direct link to Google Play™. With over 500,000 apps, plus music, movies, games and books, it’s safe to say that it just might blow your mind.
That’s the fun part. With over 500,000 apps available and new ones being added every day, you’re sure to find plenty of options.
We’ve collected some of our favorites in the Hot Apps featured on the Features tab of our Android™ phones. From handy apps to help you remember where you parked your car, to music streaming apps, even to apps you can use to order a pizza while you zone out on the couch, the best advice is to just keep exploring. You never know what will pop up next.
That’s the best part! With our Beyond Talk Unlimited Data & Messaging Plans, all of your data, web, messaging and email is totally unlimited. So whatever plan you choose, you never have to worry about putting all those apps to work. Never. Not Ever. Like, really. NEVER.
Like all software, Android™ developers are constantly working to update what it can do. When you see Android™ 2.2 versus Android™ 2.3, that just means that Android™ 2.3 is the next generation of software in the Android™ series. For the most part, the basics of the software stay the same. Newer generations sometimes feature somewhat heightened capabilities, or new features, or revisions to improve speed and performance.
