What is Broadband2Go?
Broadband2Go is Virgin Mobile's 3G nationwide wireless internet service.
With Broaband2Go, you can connect to the internet from almost anywhere in the US — without having to search for WiFi or hotspots.
Just buy a USB device, plug it into your laptop, choose a plan, and you're good to go. Pay with cash (Top-Up), credit, or debit. There are no long-term contracts or activation fees and you can change plans as your needs change.

Activate your Broadband2Go USB device
Here's how to do it:
Insert your USB device into an available USB port on your computer. Your computer should recognize the device automatically and install the drivers for the device.
Activate and create your account
Select "Activate" on the Broadband2Go Connection Manager. Please select 'I want to activate my Broadband2Go device' and follow the on-screen instructions to activate your device.
Make sure you write down your account number and MSID and follow the on-screen directions to program your device.
Next, from the Broadband2Go Connection Manager:
- Hit "Disconnect" to turn off your device
- From the main pull down menu, choose "Program Modem"
- Enter the Account # (MDN) and MSID provided to you on the confirmation page. Your Account # (MDN) and MSID are both 10-digit numbers. Leave off any zeroes at the beginning.
- Click "Connect" and your "My Account" page will launch in a new browser window.
- Sign into your account using your Broadband2Go account number (this is also called your Mobile #) and Account PIN and add money to your account and select a Broadband2Go plan.
That's it. You should be able to start surfing the web using Broadband2Go. -
How do I pay for my Broadband2Go service?
You can pay for your Broadband2Go Plan with cash (Top-Up), credit, or debit.

Will the Broadband2Go software and USB device work with my computer?
The Broadband2Go software is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista. You'll also need administrative rights on your computer to install the software and drivers.
To attach the device to your computer, you'll need an available USB port.

Where can I connect to the internet with my Broadband2Go device?
You'll receive coverage anywhere on Broadband2Go's nationwide network. That means you can connect to the internet from almost anywhere you bring your laptop - your house, the library, the airport, your favorite pizza spot, even outdoors at the park. No need to search for a Wi-Fi hot spot or anything like that. Service is provided in more than 4,300 cities (including 480 airports) across the country. Why does it appear that my MC760 Broadband2Go USB device is connected to the Web, but I can't browse?
There could be a couple of reasons:
First, please login to your My Account page at http://www.virginmobileusa.com and make sure you have a plan selected and Megabytes available. If you haven't already selected a plan, or have used up all remaining megabytes, you will need to purchase another plan before connecting to the web.
If you notice a message from the Broadband2Go Connection Manager software device displaying "Device is not activated," OR if you can't browse beyond the My Account site, you may need to re-program your device. (This scenario often occurs after choosing the 'Troubleshoot' button from the Connection Manager, while attempting to connect during a network outage).
- Click the drop-down menu from the Broadband2Go Connection Manager software, select "Program Modem."
- At the Activation Wizard screen, verify that your Broadband2Go Account Number and MSID appear in the fields. Click Next.
- "Activation Successful" should appear. Click Finish.
- The Connection Manager software will re-set.
- The Connection Manager should now show "Ready".
- Click Connect.
Please note that if you are out of the service area, or are trying to connect during a service outage, you will not be able to re-connect until service is restored.
