  • How does Virgin Mobile Phone Insurance work?

Without insurance, you could get stuck paying full price to replace your phone if something goes wrong. So Virgin Mobile has partnered with Asurion to make Phone Insurance available to our customers. For just $5/month you'll be covered if your phone breaks or is lost, stolen, or damaged - even with liquid.

    Here's how it works:
    - Sign up for Phone Insurance within 15 days of activating your phone on a Beyond Talk Plan.
    - The $5 premium will be deducted from your Virgin Mobile account each month.
    - If something happens to your phone, file a claim online or over the phone.
    - As long as your claim is approved and you pay the deductible, you'll typically receive a replacement phone within 24 hours.

Ask & Answer

CNET Rating

The good.

The Samsung Intercept is a solid first foray for Virgin Mobile into Android territory. The phone brings with it a 3.2-megapixel camera, a great QWERTY keyboard, 32GB expandable memory, and the Android 2.1 OS.

The bad.

Photo quality on the Intercept could be stronger, the screen could be larger, and the dimensions could be sleeker. We found the optical touch pad too small to be truly useful.

The bottom line.

The Samsung Intercept is one of the most advanced and priciest phones for Virgin Mobile, but it's an excellent addition to the carrier's lineup.
